PUBLIC HEARING / INTENT TO ADOPT RESOLUTION                         FEBRUARY 19, 2007

A hearing was held at 7:00 p.m. on February 19, 2007, for the purpose of adopting of a Resolution for the levying of a 1.0% Earned Income and Net Profits tax.

Multhauf, Superintendent, D.Ed.; William Hayward; Elementary Principal; Sean Wechtenhiser, High School Principal; Wendy Fernburg, Supervisor of Special Education; Paul Carr, Business Manager; Miriam Ennis, Board Secretary; Lori Bell; Trent Yarrison; Linda Miller; Richard Skinner; William Smith; Holly Michael; Jeff Ennis; Karen Williams; Lynn Brewer; Jeff Eyet; Joe Kovalcin

Ron Mollura, Board President, welcomed all present and gave an introduction for the proceedings, including the guidelines for persons making public comment to the Board.  This included a name and address and five minutes would be allotted to that individual to give his or her views.

Ron Mollura, Board President, read the Notice of Intent to Adopt a Resolution that would place a question on the May 15, 2007 primary election ballot.  The referendum will seek voter consent for the levying of a 1.0% Earned Income and Net Profits tax for the purpose of generating revenue to be used to finance homestead/farmstead property tax exclusions for qualified homestead/farmstead properties.  Mr. Mollura encouraged the public to share their views and stated that this motion would be acted on at the February 26, 2007 regular board meeting.

Tim Eyerly motioned, Robert Smith seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 7:09 p.m.
