Positions

·         David Heefner as secondary industrial arts teacher, starting for the 2009-2010 school year at a rate of $39,544

·         Laura Coble as food service coordinator / secretary, beginning July 1, 2009. This is a full-time, ten-month position; hours will be from 8 a.m.—4p.m. at her current contractual rate

 

Field Trip(s):

·         Senior class to attend Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio on June 1st. Cost to the students is $20--$62 depending on cookie dough sale. Cost to the district is $255 for subs.

·         6th grade learning support to go to Franchocks farm and Mrs. Spencer’s farm on June 1 or 2. Transportation will be 2 school vans and the cost to the student is zero. Cost to the district is gas for the vans.

·         Mr. Socash 7th grade science classes to go to Six Mile Run on May 27, 28, 29. Cost to the student is zero and cost to the district is $510 for subs, $300 for bus.

·         7th, 8th, and 9th grade to go to Hershey park on June 3rd. Cost to the student is $50 if they did not sell magazines.

 

·         Accept the retirement of Carolyn Dobo, effective June 5, 2009

·         Accept the resignation of Kathryn Shope, Cafeteria Aide, effective May 29, 2009.

·         Accept the bid from E. R. Smith Paving, Option 1, for the amount of $36, 472 for pavement rehabilitation. Work must be completed by August 14, 2009. Any soft spots will be filled in with lime stone

·         Approve the second readings of policies #006—meetings and #810—transportation

·         Approve and accept the third readings of policies #249—pupils / bullying / cyberbulling; #822—automatic external defibrillator (AED) procedures; #916—school volunteers

·         Approve Kim Hubler and Gene Ropchock as game managers for the fall athletic season

·         Approve Cindy Etchison as elementary guidance counselor to begin the start of the 2009-2010 school year at the current contractual rate

·         Approve J.R. Holenchik to attend the SAP add-on training held in Latrobe, PA; the dates are June 8—June 11, 2009

·         Approve the CCCTC general fund budget for the 2009-2010 school year

·         Approve Tiffany Gavlak as Jr. Varsity Cheerleading Coach.

·         Approve a 2 ½% raise for the nurse’s aides. They must be with the district for one full year after their paid training or they must reimburse the district for their training.

·         Approve a 5th kindergarten teacher for the 2009-2010 school year.
