Classroom Policy

1.                 Attendance

Students are expected to be on time to class every day.  Students who arrive after the late bell without a pass will receive a tardy.  Students who receive a tardy will also lose participation points for that day.  Detention will be assigned after the 4th tardy is received, according to policy.

                          2.                 General Classroom Rules

The following is a list of general classroom rules that you are expected to follow.  Failure to recognize and follow these rules will result in loss of participation points for that day.

                  ·        Do not be tardy for class.

            ·        Always come prepared for class.  Bring your textbook, notebook, and a writing utensil (pencil or pen) every day.

            ·        Turn in homework on time.  Failure to do so will result in a decreased grade for that assignment.  No work will

                           be received through my mailbox.

            ·        Raise your hand before speaking, whether to ask or answer a question.

            ·        Go to the restroom before class.  You will not be permitted to go to the restroom during class.  If time permits at the

                           end, permission will be granted at the teacher's discretion.

            ·        Sharpen your pencil before class begins.

            ·        Work quietly at your seat unless otherwise specified.

            ·        Treat your classmates with respect.

            ·        Cheating will NOT be tolerated.  Anyone caught cheating will receive a 0% for that assignment!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

            ·       No food or drinks permitted in class unless it is a designated activity.

            ·        Be open and listen to the thought and opinions of others.
