Spelling Activities for the Month of October!

Here are 5 activities that you can do with your children. You will use these 6 words for all 5 activities!!

When, About, After, People, Other, Name

Activity #1

Write each spelling word two times normally.  Then write each word using CAPITAL LETTERS for consonants and lowercase letters for for vowels.     Example: spelling   spelling    SPeLLiNG

Activity #2

Write the 5 spelling words in ABC order from A to Z.  Write them again in order from Z to A.                                 Example: a, b, c, d, e      e, d, c, b, a

Activity #3

Write each spelling word in a sentence that has a cartoon Character or Superhero's name as the subject.  Underline each spelling word.     Example: Superman likes to save people.

Activity #4

Write each spelling word normally, then in all capital letters, and then one more time normally.                               Example:       forest    FOREST    forest

Activity #5

Write each spelling word in "the word wagon" by writing the beginning and ending letters on each wheel and using the wagon bed.    Example:   when
